Wisdom & Workbench brings older adults together for welcoming, hands-on activities that celebrate life experience, encourage conversation, and make room for new ideas.

You do not need to own a business or plan to start one. Come to share what you know, explore ideas with others, and enjoy learning together.

What happens at a workshop?

Each session offers a chance to connect, think creatively, and take part in a practical group activity. Participants can share aloud, write, draw, or work with a partner.

Possible activities

Turn a familiar community problem into a helpful idea
Practice ways to welcome and serve customers
Create and present a simple product or service idea as a team
Share lessons about work, creativity, saving, or perseverance
Connect older adults and young people to exchange ideas and experience

Workshops can be adapted with a community partner to fit the group and setting.

Who can participate?

Wisdom & Workbench welcomes older adults, senior groups, and community organizations. Individuals are welcome to express interest, too. Whether you want to share your experience, join an activity, or explore a new idea, there is room for you.

NLBA welcomes workshop inquiries from senior centers, libraries, churches, community organizations, and other groups.
